Mark Schmidt, MA, CMPC (Candidate)

Director of Mental Performance

I've been a lifelong multi-sport athlete and avid sports fan. I've competed in and coached high school and college sports for almost 30 years, and was first exposed to the principles of sport psychology and mental skills training while a collegiate swimmer. I've since incorporated those principles in a very successful coaching career and my work with hundreds of student-athletes through the years. Earning my MA in Sports and Performance Psychology and my CMPC is the culmination of that journey, and my educational and athletic background makes me uniquely qualified in this role.

Areas of expertise:

  • Aquatics (Water polo, swimming & diving)

  • Team sports (Water polo, basketball, soccer, volleyball, hockey, lacrosse, etc.)

  • Academic Performance

Experience:

  • Almost thirty years teaching, coaching, motivating, and guiding high school and collegiate student-athletes.

  • Direct work with water polo, swimming & diving, cross country, field hockey, soccer, baseball, volleyball, and tennis at the high school level as a CMPC intern 2024-2025.
